This link is about user growth and it’s well deserved: Evernote is a great Cloud App and I love it (though I was initially sceptic - notes? huh…).

But the thing that fascinates me the most about Evernote is how smart the model is. A painless/costless tool initially, I can very clearly see how I’m getting willingly trapped into being locked forever with these guys. As with Spotify’s playlists, once you start piling up notes/playlists in the cloud, they’ve “got you by the balls”. You’re hooked and coming back from it is going to be time consuming and very complex.

The beauty of these could drugs is that, at $10 or $5/month, they’re pretty affordable.

For now…
